oh yeah i think the problem is that i also have 2 seperated hard drives. C: and D: . c is an OS disk, D: is data disk. now i've moved my documents to D: so save games file are created there for every game...

as i've seen previous posts i think that's a problem not with my hardware, because i had the same config on win xp.

if somebody has the same issue with ra3 or installing whole game on data disk helped, please reply...

i dont know about KW or RA3 but I managed to play a lot more skirmish than normal by changing the display settings once in the game. after that, it ran normal, didnt need to run it in compatability mode or anything

Hi, i hope somone here could help me out.
I'm trying to play RA3, when i start the game, i see the intro video and everything works smooth until i get to the main menu, then i get "Red Alert 3 has stopped working" i've tried almost everything, run as admin, with compability mode, disabling effects, patching up the game.

I'm using Vista Ultimate 32bit with following hardware spec:
AMD Athlon64 X2 5000+
ATI Radeon x1600 XT 512mb
2GB Corsair Memory
Creative SoundBlaster X-FI Audio

This fixed worked for me on another game:

Disable Aero. I believe the issue is that when the game loads, it disables Aero or something in the window manager. Then when you switch to another part of the game and the display changes, it tries to load the Aero for a sec and hoses the game.

Let me know if it works!
