Anyone still having problems with VistaGlazz? I downloaded a few of these windows themes and some of them work, but the ones that need the patch only give me a black background. Should I reinstall VistaGlazz?

Which version have you downloaded, If you have SP1 installed then you will need to download the latest Beta version which is 3

Go to Start>Run. Type in the following:

sfc -scannow

It will remove it. Also if you have a different login screen or anything like that it will be put back to normal.

Does anyone know of a uxtheme patch that works with

Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 64bit running on an AMD processor...

I tried the above website, but it messed up my Vista and I could not boot into it; luckily I have Ubuntu installed on this computer so I was able to repair the files..

Try vistaglazz

It can patch the uxtheme and if you want can make maximised windows remain transparent.

It now supports SP2 so I see no reason why it shouldn't work.

While you should always back things up, patching uxtheme.dll is done by all sorts of people all over the world and it usually causes no problem. :)
