hey, i need help. i'm trying to use the vistaXT theme but i can't figure out for the life of me how to get it to work...i can get all the rest of them to work. seems it's missing the .theme file? or i'm missing something lol. any help would be great, thanks

I need help.... Themes worked before, but after recent update it cannot be applied anymore. Any ideas?
Update was on this Wednesday 11th....

Ive done everything it said perfectly yet still the themes wont appear in the list. Obviously these "it's as easy as this" instructions you give so matter-of-factly need work. What am i doing wrong? I replaced all three files in System32 and installed the themes into the directory...this isnt worth the trouble.

Did you read this?

yep, read it...set it up identical to the
"proper" layout..i get an error message "none of the visual styles could be applied!"

What a nightmare...in one of the themes, "lunavista" there is no .theme file..too funny..well that explains the error message..what a waste of my time.

Did vista glazz stop working after that update too?! Because the maximized windows are not transparent anymore....

Try installing it again, I still have transparency on maximised windows..

Also, im updating the list as we speak. :)

Well, I just changed my theme to a different one, and it worked... I guess it doesn't like that particular theme I'm using... Oh well

Love these! Good way of changing what your windows looks like without using windowsblinds which can use up a lot of ram on machines which dont have much

Oh my god! I tryed to fix theme to my vista 32 bit, and it wont work.. well i dont know where to put what.. I GOT CRAZY! anyone help me before my PC gets dead :(


edit: my comp~ is getting slower.. Dont know why.. but ah! help dont want themes if my comp gets mestup ATM

It took me a while to figure it out, In the original aero folder, just rename aero to aeroold and place the new areo in there like this:

this sounds like a dumb question but, will these themes work with Home basic because I don't have Aero?
