Hi,

Can anyone advise on how to install my saved games folder to a game with Vista? It appears that they are not stored the same as in XP. I have looked in the games explorer folder and the Microsoft games show saved games but any 3D games like Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter or Call of Duty 2 do not show this. I have looked in C:/Programs under the game folders and they are not there either. I really don't want to keep playing through the game to get to the same position.

Thanks in advance

For security reason, Windows Vista does not allow programs to write into some protected directories such as C:\Windows and C:\ Program Files. This, however, could make some prgrams could not run properly. To solve this compatibility issue, Microsoft introduces File System and Registry Virtualization. Although programs could not write into the protected directories, Windows Vista will redirect the protected directories to another directoires stored in user's folders. Programs could not change registry and write into protected directories, Windows Vista could "cheat" the programs so that they will perceive as they haved change the registries and written into protected directories. For example, my username is Sonic, then location of virutal directories would be:
C:\Users\Sonic\AppData\Local\VirtualStore
