Why gets Datgg this "Processor AMD Athlon 64 X2 AM2 Dual Core Processor 5200+ - 5.9" and i get with the same processor "Processor AMD Athlon 64 X2 AM2 Dual Core Processor 5200+ - 5.1"???

Any suggestions?

I haven't used Vista yet, but I think I remember reading that the WEI score is based on actual tests. If it is doing tests than his chip may be overclocked. There is also the chance his motherboard has a better chipset, or faster RAM timings, there are really a lot of factors.

Just standard at the moment.

What Items could be overclocked ?

With a 5.2, and looking at your signiture, I can think of nothing you would notice a difference on with an overclock. Honestly, that system won't need any kind of OC for about 2 years, maybe 1 year on the highest settings of the absolute sweetest games (graphically), like an elder scrolls 5, or a crysis type game. And even then, you'd only need the OC if you wanted highest settings for video.

Sweet! and...Thanks. ^_~

I gotta ask - how do people get a higher WEI score than 5.4 for their 'data disk transfer rate'? My HD's are connected via SATA2. But then again, my drive speed is 7200rpm. Perhaps others are using the new 10k ones. Or did they come out with SATA3 behind my back? :) Or perhaps its simple mobo architecture. Damn you Gigabyte! ^.^

I just bought an Nvidia Geforce 6200 based card so that my PC could use Aero when I installed Vista.. but I think I'm going to have to return the card and get something a little better. I knew it wasn't a great card but I'm not a gamer so I didn't care about that too much.. some of the Aero effects are pretty sluggish though, so I think that's gonna annoy me. <_<

Here Is My Score, I Know Its Kind Of Low & Pathetic.. But Getting A New Computer Next Month..

its mainly due to the fact that my video card ATI Radeon 9200 (128meg) AGP is not supported by windows vista .

Yeah, that was the plan... but I think now I'm actually going to hold on to the 6200 for a while. It was only $60, and everything actually works pretty well except for Flip3D, so it'll do the trick for now.

Here's my score. Brand new HP dv9000 laptop. I thought my score should be higher. This has the best CPU available (fot this model), and the most RAM, with a 512Mb Video card. Oh well. I added a 2Gb RamBoost SD card, but that did not help.

Its been a busy few days...
I have bought and installed a 8800 GTS 640mb card and removed the sli config I had before.
I then bought a Intel 'Conroe' E6600 but wasnt accepted by my P5ND2-Sli motherboard (i couldve sworn i read somewhere it was fine) so I had to buy a new Asus P5N32-E SLi nForce 680.

So that will give me something to do on monday night after the board arrives ;-)

Anyone who has a 8800 series got to nvidias website and you can download an interactive prgram that is mindblowing!!!
It creates a 3D model of rock and you can click anywhere and create waterfallls running down the rock, the water follows the physics of the rock and its incredible graphics.

It installs some new directX drivers when you install (not sure if these are the proper directX10 ones though)

Here's my specs.. a bit dated I know I built this rig in summer of 02' only thing thats newer is the video card

P4 2.8b / 533mhz
1GB PC2700 RAM
Seagate 160gig IDE ATA100
