Top 10 cheapest Aero compatible video cards! (doesn't have to be top 10). A good mini topic could be best value 2.1 speakers. Recommended HD size for vista. And looking way into the future SP2 for Vista (what would it include...).

I think I will participate.

Alright, well SP1 is my idea, as with yours, but I have a sugestion for a typical layout of the podcast. Test it out for the first, lets say 2 or 3 shows and work out all the "bugs"

advarage show lengh can be about 30 min.
  • 00:00:00 - 00:00:15 - Intro music with possable voice over
  • 00:00:15 - 00:03:00 - Podcast intro, introduce weeks hosts and the weeks main topic
  • 00:03:00 - 00:10:00 - Weeks mini topics: Mini topics can be about anything, small tech news articles etc.
  • 00:10:00 - 00:23:00 - Weeks main topic
  • 00:23:00 - 00:28:00 - Member questions, forum posts, podcast/site news etc
  • 00:28:00 - 00:30:00 - Next weeks preview, closing statments, replay intro music at this time.
Weeks when the show is longer then 30 mins, such as a 40-45 min show. or even a hour long show, follow same guide lines, but extend each segment up to at least 5 or 10 more min.

Tell me what you think of this layout.

nice suggestion

i'm sure drunkard will be able to build of this ;)

I think it would be cool if you could involve thevistaforums.com more in your podcast, like discuss some interesting topics on the forums and list your opinions etc. I think it would help integrate the podcast with the site itself :)

yep. see my topic here, for more info ;)

Try to integrate the vista forums as said above in to the podcast! read forum pages, answer support topics live on the forum! talk about the most popular topics on the site!

also a suggestion for eppsode 4

http://news.softpedi...9-0-69708.shtml

one more thing is move this section up to the top of the site? won't make much a difference. draw more attention.

is the podcast section open to guests?

How about some competitions( the funs in taking part not winning ) software and games reviews maybe?ive one topic id like you to cover INTERNET FRAUD..and the best ways to counteract it (such as the most secure way to shop online ) the possibilities are endless , the podcasts as they are are informative and well presented ...just depends on what level you want to take it to and obviously how much time your willing to put into them.

Software and game reviews are a very good idea - I've got a number of games I'd be happy to review, including both Crysis and the Orange Box.

I was going to do it last week, but my stupid mic wouldn't work in TeamSpeak then Vista decided to not let me use it full stop. I'm probably gonna do it this week though. :D

Ok thinking on my feet here ....
Lets say you start a thread entitled " best vista forums sig" ... people into making sigs post "vista forums " based sigs, then members vote on there favourite one for that month.
.... lets say i win ( highly unlikely as i have neither photoshop nor a clue how to do it ), im invited onto the podcast and explain how i got my idea for the theme and also how i did it .( i know colin86 has posted an extensive tut for everyone to follow , but this is just an example of what you can do )
The "prize" could be a" range rover vogue" and two weeks with the dallas cheer leaders lol..(im kidding....or am i dreaming)
The whole point of this is to encourage members to get involved into the whole podcast thing , ive listened to some other sites podcasts and to be honest they all prim n proper BUT ultimately very very boring .
a little levity and some interesting content can go a long long way and the posibilities are endless as to what you can do ....a prime example is "the ministry of sound podcast".... diverse , funny , interesting , upfront and unusual ...

"two weeks with the dallas cheer leaders"

If that happens, I'm going to resign and then enter. :D

Otherwise that is a pretty good idea. Obviously we can't give away an entire car every week, but we could do something smaller. (Y)

perhaps a game of picturenary

this one i think is pretty good....one of my local radio stations plays this game.....
there are 7 questions in the game 1) Dallas has the largest number of (______)?
and that question stays there untill some one answers it correctly, once answered, move to question two
which would be tougher and the rewards be better
this is something that can go one for sevrel weeks even months

ofcores your questions would be better, i just put something out there, you get the idea i hope
