Hi there. I have a really annoying problem when trying to update my games in vista. When i try to update games and download patches, Vista blocks my internet connection. I've been experiencing this with Dawn of War, Mark of Chaos and World of Warcraft. one of the updaters gave me the error code 0x104. I've tried to disable every firewall, disable windows defender and ran all of the programs as administrator without luck. It's not my router, cause I tried updating without it and I've tried updating at my friends house.. still without luck.
Is Vista just being overprotective? Is their a magical button that fixes my problem? Or what can it be?

Thx in advance for your help
Best Regards
Norregaard

Interesting, don't think I've heard of that happening before. If I were you I would make sure you have the ports open for the game's update programs. Especially blizzard downloader, seeing as it has a torrent nature to it. You can keep firewall up but allow access I believe, through the control panel under windows firewall. Honestly I can't think of what would do this, i'll let you know if I come across anything. Can you give any more information on the exact error code?

I've looked up the error code and it says the following:
"QSDK version not supported by CommServe"

I must admit I don't know what it means, or if it has to do with the blocking problem. I've tried to allow the programs through windows firewall and norton's, but still without succes.
