I would get cable, but the average speed around South Perth is about 1000k, due to the mass of apartments.

I've got Cable with Rogers Communications

I Googled "bandwidth test", and the first result tells me I have a connection which runs at "1.3 megabits per second". Considering I'm behind a router, that doesn't seem bad.

Contracts are almost always a bad idea. Unless you get a lot in return, they're usually best avoided.

We have a 24 month contract, which started in August 04. :P

If we cancel, dad would have to pay over $1,000 AUD back to Telstra. :o
