due to the mass of apartments
.. got Cable, but not in the sense in which the Poll choices are listed .. it's (unmetered traffic) "flatrate" - 14 euros / month (should be getting cheaper, expensive right now) @ 128/64 Kb/Sec (2:1 Ratio) & always constant (consistent) ..

ADSL 2+ is actually available in Australia, from Internode, so it is possible. :)

Hmm...

Wasn't aware there was a second version of ADSL.

I don't believe we have this in the States, but I'll have to look into it :)

4.6mbps ;)
not the fastest but the most stable provider here, used to be the only phone company in the country, so they have a wide network and clientbase, tthe only real competitior is the cable provider (twice as fast) but we are at the end of your street so if someone would have cable before us we'd get slowdowns.
i accidently voted an option to low tho i think
(btw what's VDSL, i know it uses a diffirent frequency, but i don't really know what it is about)

Dial up can. Mine is supposed to be 512k, but by the time it goes down to dial up for downloading over 169MB in a 4 Hour peiod, I would guess it averages out to be slower.
