Is it ok to allow two users on one PC to share the Windows Mail folder?

Recently I have set up my copy of Vista to operate with two users. The second user also happens to be me, but I have some applications that have trouble with Vista and they require a very specific Vista setup that I don't normally want to use. So all I have to do is switch users, when I want to use the application that cause problems. Now the thing is, I have moved all my work documents to public, so both users can readily access the same files. That works fine. The only one remaining thing is that it would be useful if both users shared the same email, rather than having their own email. This, in theory, is simple to do. All I need is to move the Mail folder to the public folder and then both Windows Mail setups can point to the same files. I have sort of tried this, and it seems to work, but my email is key to what I do on the PC, so I am slightly scared of fully going for this until I find someone else who has done it....and found out whether it is 100% safe!!!
