Installing Counter strike source from Disc????how plz tell me

Install Steam, you can generally just input the install key into Steam, and it'll download it via Steam, or you can just use the disc.

i had so many probs with this with my old pc... the instructions don't really explain any thing

i had so many probs with this with my old pc... the instructions don't really explain any thing

When you put the disc in, it should auto run and you just accept all terms and click through it. I dunno, I don't have CSS, but it just seems to make sense to me to do it that way.

but.... steam only stuffs up when i install the disc...mabey my disc isn't 4 vista..ill try downloading threw steam...

Steam is the software platform that Valve games run from. When you install css from the disc it installs Steam.
Once Steam Loads you have to create an account. Your DVD Code will be tied to this account. You can tie other valve games you buy from shops or from steam direct. You run Css from Steam. Steam Keeps itself and all games updated to latest Version. When you want to play you have to Activate Your DVD Code (its on the leaflet) once that happens the game is tied to your account. log on from anywhere and you can download it and play it. Have Fun.
