Hey,

So as many of you know there are a lot of different simulation games out there. My favorite would include:

18 Wheels Of Steel: Across America
18 Wheels Of Steel: Pedal To The Metal
18 Wheels Of Steel: Haulin
18 Wheels Of Steel: American Long Haul
Euro Truck Simulator

Does anyone play these games? Over my experience I've come across some interesting modifications for the games, it enhances the games and makes them that much more fun to play. These modifications may include:

Maps
Vehicles
Models
Buildings
Skins (Truck/Trailer Paint Jobs)
E.t.c

Well,

I've been on forum sites for these trucking games and recently took great interest into the TVF! I've made this thread for all trucking simulation fans to post here, discuss the games e.t.c

Best trucking simulation forum and mod site: Truckpol Forums <--- Register, it's worth it!

Yeah, high-wuality simulation. It goes all the way, it's amazing. Check out the forums, sign up and view the screen shots. You use blinkers, moter brakes, windshield wipers and everything, it's priceless.

Google it, look at the screen shots. I love trucking, I'm 14 so I can't actually drive one yet but this game puts me in the seat, I went out and bought a wheel for em too... Got the whole series, got all the modifications and just blast er. Best game I've ever played, honestly.

Meh, whatever floats peoples boats. I wouldnt touch any of these games personally. A simulation of something like driving a truck just doesnt interest me.

Well you're all entitled to your opinion.
In my opinion the game is wickid, it's because I have great interest in trucking, simulation and realism. This game offers all of those. I spend a good 2-3 hours with my steering wheel, pedals and a few cans of Red Bull after school on the open high-way in this game listening to the tunes and making some virtual cash. Great time too me. The mods are what makes it better, anything I can mod, I love.

I'm a huge fan of the 18wos series, Euro was a down though, not as detailed cities as 18wos, and it was a slow start, got boring to just drive back and forth and have just 3 cities to choose from(germany as start), but the achivements and trucking classes(for petrol and stuff) is cool, like that idea.

Thor Erik, my savor!

Yeah, 18 Wheels OF Steel had way more detail and realism, Euro Truck Simulator was a let down especially where all cities are the same, graphics, reflection and quality has improved though.

^^ I'm a simulator enthusiast, as long as it is branded "simulator" I grab it and test it.
I'm sitting on every Flight Simulator since FS 95, every Xplane ever released(9 now), all those tucking sims from SCS(and bus sim) and probably a ton more that i can't remember :P

One thing I have against the 18 Wos/Eurotruck, is that in Direct X mode you don't have any AA, and in OpenGL it tend to mess up on vista :(
but with OpenGL it's easier to play on linux, where it works flawlessly :P

I have played Pedal to the Metal (my first 18WOS game!) and early in the year, I was playing 18WOS ALH ... but after BANKING $10mil, owning 50+ trucks, 50+ trailers, and almost every garage, it got boring *LOL*

Bus Sim was fun, especially when I jiggled the BASE (or what ever it's called, I can't remember, since I haven't had it installed in 5 months) file and adjust the braking, steering etc to make it more realistic.

I'll show a few of my Sim photos.
