i've had the sims 2 for a few years now and never had any problems.. but i recently got a new computer and tried installing it and it loads fine but when you go to play it instantly freezes and you have to open the task manager and close to program to get the computer to do anything.. i'm wondering if this could be a problem with game? i also tried downloading patches for the game and it did nothing.. can anyone help?!

I am about to not tell you anything, just an fyi. I hate to be so little help, but this topic has been discussed more times than I care to count. Go ahead and do a search in the forums here for Sims 2. You should find your answers there. If you are running a version of Windows Vista, more than likely running your game in XP compatibility mode will work it all out for you. Also, please post the specs of your pc for further assistance. Thanks a ton, and welcome. . . . to Jurassic Park.
