I run quake wars, Crysis and Far Cry 2 maxed out, and many others, at my max resolution (1680x1050) with options maxed, so unless you have a 24" or larger monitor, I doubt you'll need any better card than this. This card is flat out amazing. Since it's the + version, it's based on the 55nm core, rather than the 65nm core, meaning cooler temps are far better overclocking ability! I got my tax return today, and although I had to save half for modds to my Terminator Cobra, I still had enough to get this card, an 850 watt PSU, I replaced my 3GB of PC5300(667mhz) memory with 4GB PC6400 800mhz ram, and a Logitech - Z-2300, the loudest, highest quality sound PC sound system I've ever heard.

Anyways, I fan finally play Cryis and Far Cry 2, and most especially, GTAV, heh, it requires more power than Crysis, pretty amazing. What a great game now that I can run it. Before my upgrade, I tried running it on a 8600GTOC, lol, it ran about 12-14 frames per second, with all the options turned all the way down.

So, if you don't wanna break the bank, and get a card that packs one hell of a punch, get what I got, and if you can live without surround sound, get the speakers too(In my experience, surround sound sound speakers have bad quality bass boxes)

Newegg selling @ $ 210.00 , very reasonable for a card that benchmarks 55 fps !
51c (123f) running the F18 on FSX , a known high -demand game .

Might be good for now, but give it a year. Despite being on the same resolution, the textures and so on in games will get more complex and you'll need another card. :(

I have the 512Mb version of the card, and while it is a good card, if you are planning for the future the GTX2xx series will be much better.

And the Z5300 > Z2300 :)

no no, you guys have it all wrong.

I have the 9800GTX too, and the future lies with the GT300 Cores. Due this year.

GT212 comes out at end of Q2/beginning of Q3. and the GT212 is the Single GPU/PCB version of the GTX295, with the same specs.

And the GT300 comes out around the end of Q3/beginning of Q4.

im still happy with geforce 8800GT, although most of the games i play now are a step down, Children of the Nile, World Of Warcraft, Hinterlands (crappy graphics in hinterlands, gameplay makes up for it by far http://www.tiltedmill.com/hinterland/ its only $20 too)
