i just started playing it. and it doesnt even come close to original fear. the first thing ive noticed that annoys me are the glasses (or helmet) that the player wears. this gives you kind of rounded view. the enemy screams sound more like emo kids crying rather than hard core replica soldiers.

im probably 1/3 throgh the game and i didnt find it scarry yet. the suspense in F1 was so much better.

the game is still enjoyable and fun to play but... having so many titles with wide open spaces (crysis, crysis: WH, FC2, stalker clear sky) you feel kind of trapped inside those narrow corridors :)

I loved it, finished it in 3 hours though. The special fx were amazing for a game. I've got a pair of 8800GTs too and they coped fine with it.

You finished the game in just three hours?!

I love the game, just finished it today, completed it twice now. Although F.E.A.R. 1 psyched me out better than F.E.A.R. 2.

Except for the school area in the game, that's an ace for scaring people off.

I had my genuine screams at the very beginning of the game, and somewhere around the end.

I want Paxton Fettel and the Point man back though, F.E.A.R. is nothing without them. The Point Man's relation to Paxton and Alma and the rest of the family line is what made the game's story so interesting, in my opinion.

I watched my buddy play the first level and I was actually quite impressed. It has some nice creepy moments in the game. I never blew the game off, but was never quite interested in it either. But now I will borrow these out from work and see how good they really are for me.

I only played the Fear 2 demo, not the full version :( I played the Fear 1 multiplayer and it kinda sucked.

Yea I've played F.E.A.R. 1 mutli-player and it wasn't all that fun, just running around killing each other.

Nope, did not rent it. I actually bought it for a friend of mine, which was given as a birthday gift. We had a sleepover at his place and played all night.

I plan to buy it for myself, sometime..
