Hello!

For a while I've been trying to get Dungeon Keeper 2 to work on this machine, and it refused. It would not run for the life of me, and I knew it had to be either audio or video driver/settings problems.

We'll I ended up finding out why it wouldn't work, (Something with the audio settings on my pc), and the game actually starts and plays now. For those who have played it, I had to uncheck hardware acceleration because it was showing me all these black boxes on the screen.

Thats cool and all, but my game lags now! Its a noticible lag, at least to me. I need help either getting the lag to stop, or making it so I can turn hardware acceleration back on. Please any help would be awesome, here are my specs.

CQ-50 107nr
AMD Athlon Dual-Core QL-60 1.90ghz
2.00GB RAM
8200m g
120g hdd
Vista home premium


I would have thought that processor would be able to run this?? Thanks!

Do you;

1) Have the latest graphiccard drivers?
2) Have the latest DirectX for your system.
3) Have the latest patch for the game? Maybe the original version is not stable on vista?
4) Did you try running it in compatibility mode for Windows 98 or XP or something?

And I've been over that website and many others.. it doesn't make sense.

Any other ideas?

I am after some help i am playing call of duty 2 on vista premium and cannot get it to work i have looked at the games on it and i cannot get on there i have tryed everthing even up garding my PDQ TO max and it still will not work on multiplayer i can see the ping is very high on the game but on my computer its 88 as i have done a screen test in christchurch new zealand if any one out there can help it would be great
