Hey, I'm back on this site asking for help. (unfortunately)

Anyways, this time i need help with the Sims 2 Apartment Life graphics. When I am playing and moving around my camera, OR putting/taking away furniture and objects, the screen blinks away all of the objects/walls/characters until i move the camera again. I really need help with this..... i have tried getting the new patch and everything, but nothing.

Thanks

I did a search for your laptop model and it says it's a ATi 3100, if it is this, then that might be why you're having issues because it is an integrated card meaning it's not that good for playing games. Try lowering the game settings and turning off things like reflections, shadows and turning the resolution down.

ATI Radeon 3100 i know it is good enough to play it, because i can play High graphics BF2 on here. As well as America's Army pretty well.

EDIT: That site you gave me didn't work. But I did try updating the video driver, and it said I already had the most recent update.

Is it version 9.3?

If it is, try lowering your settings in the game and right click the shortcut you use to run the game, click "Properties", then click the "Compatibility" tab, then tick the box next to "Disable desktop composition".

See if that helps.

EDIT 2: I'm blind. Okay, 3rd time lucky, remember its the Catalyst Software Suite you want:

Also try it without XP compatibility.

No... 9.1 .

Anyway you can... you know... get that link working? lol

EDIT: Ok, i changed the settings to the lowest possible... didn't help. My compatibility is on Windows XP. Maybe that is it?

And i have Vista 64-Bit... not 32.

I'm going to reboot, then retry the Sims 2. This better work...

So i updated, Un-clicked the compatibility box, Clicked the desktop composition box.

It worked for a couple of minutes... but then started blinking when i put furniture in again. It's really pissing me off... :realmad:

I guess it just won't work right on my laptop. I may just have to deal with it... at least until June when the 3rd one comes out =)
