After the festive break, progress has again started on Longhorn to give us the server equivalent of Vista.

I'm downloading now and will try it on my Virtual PC first

Does Vista still run poorly on VPC? Last time I tried it, it ran very slow (on VPC 2004).

When I was using VPC I allocated 1.2GB to the program itself. I have 2GB total in my system. Then again that was back in the 5000 series builds that I was using VPC with it. Perhaps it was not ready to be running on VPC at that point.
