I am a first timer, I just bought Team fortress 2 and started to download the Steam client. It gets to 33% and then stops, every time I try it. Then about 3 min after it just sitting there this pops up. I can't even get it to start to install / download now. :(

C:\Users\Administrator\Downloads\SteamInstall(4).msi.part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.

Try again later, or contact the server administrator.

Can anyone help me get this fixed, or tell me what I need to do. I just spent 20.00$ for something I can't use.

Thanks

Try deleting the entire "Steam" folder from C:/Program Files, and then reinstalling it. It sometimes works if you do that.

(Don't worry about uninstalling it, since it fixes itself, usually. ;) )

Go to control panel, then add or remove programs (Programs and features if your on vista). Go to steam and there should be an option to repair it. That did it for me.
