Hey guys, I just got an almost new Blackberry 8820. I just swapped my sim chip over from my old phone (AT&T) to the new phone (still AT&T). Now heres where the problem starts, I have unlimited SMS and MMS on my current plan, but the new phone wont send MMS, there isnt even an option for it on the phone. I hope somebody can help me out. I figured this would be a good place to post even though its not a blackberry forum. Thanks, Corey.

Uh, do you have the blackberry data plan on your line? If not, I'd say that's where your problem starts.

AT&T requires a data plan to send and receive MMS, otherwise you enter the PPU (Pay-Per-Use) conundrum.

You can't get a straight answer from them on that. One guy will tell you that MMS is included w/ unlimited text packages (on non smart phones), the next will say it's not, and a third will say they don't know.... but I'm pretty certain that you have to have the smart phone data plan in order to use most things on a BB or an iphone.

I work for AT&T as a supervisor, in a call center, and I also have an iPhone that isn't a company owned phone. :)
95% of reps are idiots. But I'm not.

:) Feel free. I'll be glad to help. My expertise doesn't just lie with AT&T phones either. I've done research in other companies, and probably about to get hired on by Verizon. The current call center I am in has too many office politics, and Verizon will pay me more. ;)
