In the past week, my anti-virus (windows one care) has popped up like 3 times saying that i've been infected with "Exploit:JS/Mult.BB". it cleans it every time, but it keeps coming back. there isn't much info about it, besides that all it does is just download other malware. all i was doing was looking at yahoo sports and gmail and the notification came up again... any one know any thing about this? thanks.

i use malware bytes and have done 2 or 3 scans since the first time i saw the virus notification. i'll try a full scan opposed to a quick scan just in case.

Reboot the machine and do a scan again just in case. If it's still showing it's possible that you have some piece of software that's installing that trojan, that's very common. Look at anything you've installed recently.

Have you tried this online scanner (may be just the same as your one care but the scanner is specifically recommended by MS for this trojan):

i found a thread on another site about a person with the same problem:

http://www.2coolfish...t=240411&page=2

one user recommended using ccleaner, then malware bytes, then combofix, all while disconnected from the internet. i did this, and combofix found and deleted 3 files. malware bytes did not find anything. i will post another reply if windows one care finds the virus again.

pat cooke, i ran the scanner for awhile, but it was slowing down my computer, so i'm going to run it tonight.
