Anyone looking forward to it? I am. Already preordered my copy. :D

Here's a screenshot from the demo. It's not really designed for kids, so I wouldn't go giving this to your five year old son, as you can see:

Eh, maybe. I just played the demo off of XBL, and it didn't impress me that much. Fell too much like the original game, but with different zombies.

I've not played the first one or this demo. I have been meaning to try it, I just can't bring myself to spend the money. . .

The first one was great. It was really more of an arcade game. Completely different than I thought it would be. The first got repetitive, though. I haven't gotten to play the demo yet, but I will be downloading on XBL soon.

I love L4D, and played the demo on XBL. Thought it was quite fun, even though I'm used to the computer's controls. I like the button to turn the player around 180 degrees, and the addition of melee weapons is great (try out the guitar, it's fun. And the machete does wonders in crowded spaces).

Anyone else picking this up for the PC? We should all play some campaigns together.

I've preordered it. Maybe I'll setup an event or two on Steam for one night. (Y)

No idea, but it's cracking fun. I think the demo is free and available now on Steam (and it's available on the Xbox Marketplace too), so try it out.

I think they need to put more work into this game. People say it's more of an experience, but House of the Dead on any arcade is an experience with the same quality of graphics. I'm going to try the original L4D one more time before I completely shun the series.

Really? I think they've got it bang on perfect. They don't need more fancy graphics, as it is, it's awesome fun.

Yeah, it looks great, especially for a Source game. Anyways, I can't wait either and I preordered my copy about a week ago.

Like I said I'm going to give it another whirl before I completely say no to it. I might try the demo now that it's up and available.

L4D1 was very underwhelming if you ask me. L4D is a much better game. And it looks really great.*

In the demo version, during the video, it shows that the chainsaw literally saws people in half and you get to see guts. Is this stay true in gameplay? If so, I will buy the game just for that. \m/

Nick, Ellis, Coach and Zoey Survive Zombie Apocalypse (Y)

No, we didn't make a mistake, we purposely said Zoey. For all those who long for the beloved Left 4 Dead 1 survivors, have no fear! T3hProphetMan and L4DMods.com members have been working on a mod to replace Rochelle with our favourite, nerdy Zoey! There's still a lot of work to be done, but we're getting there!

What the mod does:

  • Replaces Rochelle with Zoey's model
  • Changes HUD icons to Zoey's icons
  • Changes HUD name to Zoey's name
  • Changes lobby player name to Zoey's name

Issues? Well, of course! There are a few but nothing too serious:

  • Doesn't work with the L4D1 to L4D2 mod. Will crash your game to Desktop once the map loads.
  • Sometimes when Zoey holds a baseball bat, it looks like it's coming out of her bumb and she's holding an invisible stick.
  • Sounds are still Rochelle's. We're busy with the sound part but will have a lot of generic sounds to replace L4D2 specific sound files.

What's next? Maybe the whole team from the original Left 4 Dead! Want to help? Sure you can! We need help with the sound files. Check out the thread!

Noooooooooooooo. I like Ellis. He's cool.

But yeah, Rochelle is a total bit.....I mean, annoyance if you ask me.
