My daughter is running Windows Vista Home Basic. She had a problem with her 3connect internet connection and was told to re-install it. She un-installed 3connect and then tried to re-install but keeps getting an error message telling her that 'an older version of 3connect has been detected (v2.00.000) and this needs to be uninstalled first. We have looked throughout the system but can't find any such program!
Cann anyone help please?
Thanking you so much,
Toni Vines.

Go to the control panel and under "Uninstall" (or maybe it's called "Programs and Features") make sure it's uninstalled. It know that a older version of the software was or is still there and it's finding traces of it still on her system that might cause conflict with the newer version.

If it's not showing up there then we could have a problem where you will have to manually uninstall every last bit of it or do a system restore and we can work from there.

Welcome to the forums. In addition to what Ben said, Revo Uninstaller can also make sure a program is completely removed.
