Whenever i try to run the game on my vista home with geforce 6800 it gives me a bad graphics. The game ran fine on Windows XP earlier
Also tried compatibility mode XP SP2 and still the same.

Any suggestions ??

Well I Found one way to play the game on Vista. though it works in windowed mode only but if you try to change it to full screen the usual crap happens; which is sort of bad.

so:
google DXwnd and download it

once downloaded you don't need to install it just extract the files onto your desktop or other preferred place.

open DXwnd then right click on the white blank space in the program

click "add"

when a window pops up, click on the browse button (which looks like>> "...")

then browse for the application that starts up scarface (usually at C:\Program Files\Radical Games\Scarface\Scarface.exe) select it then click open.

once you selected the executable file make sure to tick the box that says "Auto-Correct Mouse-Position"

then click ok

you should be able to see the selected destination on the white box area now(i dont have a word for it maybe you can help me here?)

just right click it, click execute. and Enjoy! the violence in the game with the shooting and the car driving, and the columbian killing oh my.. in windowed mode :\

if you have any other programs or games on vista that acts like scarface because of DX issues use DXwnd it should work!

tell me if you need more info

also i just tryed it again its like its missing graphics like some of the textures are missing.

If you're running a pc with a dual core processor go to the search box in vistas start menu and type in msconfig . This will bring up the msconfig utility app. click on the 'Advanced' tab. place a checkmark in the number of processors box (make sure the number is set to 1). Reboot your computer (reboot will be slower). After playing the game game go back into the msutility app and uncheck the number of processors box and reboot again. This worked for me.

And look down the list for your graphics card, you should actually be doing this at least once a week now. Both Nvidia and Ati have made a decision to try to make a driver release every month.
